Care Plus is a Medicare/Medicaid certified health care service organization which provides nursing and other paramedical services to patients in the home and health care institutions on a temporary, part-time, or full-time basis.
The Care Plus organization was established in 1986 in order to meet a growing need for in-home services, thereby enabling patients to return home earlier from institutions and in so doing, promoting the better utilization of hospital and nursing home beds.
One of the major functions of our home care program is fostering "independence" among our clients. When a client enters our service system our first priority is to render care in accordance to the client's needs or physician's orders. However, helping the patient and the family cope and live with their problem (if the problem is associated with age, illness or a long-term convalescence) is the first step in bringing a client closer to independence from either heavy reliance on private, public or institutional assistance.
Care Plus is not a franchised operation, but owned and operated directly by people who live in the area. We offer a full range of nursing and/or home support services.
The philosophy of Care Plus is to help the community, its citizens and health care institutions with the ever increasing demand for health care personnel. By developing a staff of personnel with a wide range of talents and availability, Care Plus is able to supply health care institutions and patients with a steady source of health personnel.
In assisting the community in this fashion, Care Plus has developed a comprehensive "Home Care" program. Care Plus believes all persons, regardless of age, have the right to remain in their own homes as long as it is physically possible. This basic human right should not be dependent on economic factors, race, sex or creed. Age alone is no excuse for denying someone the possibility of remaining in their own home.
Care Plus believes that assistance should be available on an intermittent basis to assist individuals in meeting their needs. Sometimes the smallest things are all that is necessary to keep the individual independent. This assistance could take the form of homemakers, home health aides, licensed nurses, therapists and medical social service, cooperating towards a common goal. In this way, the specific needs of the individual can be adequately met.
